Lahaul and Spiti both are very cold areas in Himachal Pradesh.Lahaul and Spiti are two different places this is only one district of Himachal Pradesh that consists with two different  places Lahaul and Spiti.The district was built in 1960, and is the fourth least populous district in Himachal Pradesh. There are 3 tehsils namely Lahaul, Spiti, Udaipur.  In Lahaul and Spiti is perfect combination of Hinduism and Buddhism. This district is connected with two different places Manali and Rohtang Pass. Here you can see snow all year and some peaks never let it go, no matter what season it is. Colorful Buddhist flags can be seen fluttering in the breeze, indicating the culture of the land. Lahaul and Spiti is the most beautiful place in Himachal, thousands of people come here from all over the world to see its beauty. Lahaul and Spiti are perfect locations for nature lovers and trekkers. Spiti is famous for its Tabo Monastery and this Monastery has been acknowledged as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Best time to visit in Lahaul and Spiti is start from March to October

 Chandratal Lake

Chandratal Lake is  one of the most beautiful lakes in India that's located at an altitude of about 4300 m in lies between a ridge and the main Kunzum range. The Chandratal lake is situated on the top of Samudra Tapu plateau  Some people also call it “The Moon Lake”and is also one of the sources of the violent Chandra River. The distance of Chandratal lake from Manali is  125 km. some time It becomes difficult to breathe because level of oxygen drop down take a deep and long breath Which leads to complete lack of oxygen in your body.

Kunzum Pass
Kunzum pass is one of the most famous and highest pass in Himachal Pradesh located at an altitude of 4,551m above sea level. This pass connects Lahaul and  Spiti valley with  Kullu valley. Distance of kunzum pass from Manali 122km and from chandertal lake 15km. There is also a temple of kunzum devi, it is believed that she keeps a look over the pass and protects it from the evil powers.


                                                            
Tabo Monastery
Tabo Monastery   was established in 996 CE.  Tabo Monastery is one of the oldest monasteries located in the Tabo Village of Spiti Valley, it is located at a dizzying height of 10,000 feet. Monastery  has been acknowledged as a UNESCO World Heritage Site it is also protected with archeological survey of India. lahaul and spiti is known for its various  glorious traditions and heritage of Buddhism in the form of artistic murals, intricate paintings, elegant stuccos and exquisite frescoes.

Dhankar Monastery
Dhankar Monastery is also known as Dhankar Compa. It is situated at a high  3,894 metres  in the Spiti Valley above Dhankar Village built one thousand years ago. Dhankar was the traditional capital of the Spiti Valley Kingdom during the 17th century. There are also a dhankar lake near  the  Shichilling village. this village below the dhankar monastery where you will find a new monastery which houses about150 monks belonging to the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism. 

 Pin Valley National Park

Pin Valley National Park is known as the Cold Desert situated Lahaul and Spiti. National Park in the southwest and Rupi Bhabha sanctuary in the south. With its snow-laden higher mountains and slopes, the Park forms a natural habitat for a number of endangered animals including the snow leopard and Siberia.

Chindi Mata Mandir Chindi Mata temple is located in Chindi village this temple is also a historical temple. This temple is Thousands of years old and this temple is fully made by handcraft wooden. Mul Mahunag Temple Karsog

  Mahunag Temple   Mahunag Temple is a very Famous and Historical temple in Karsog this temple dedicated to the god Shiva. In Himachal Pradesh so many temples of Mahunag but this temple is the main temple Mahunag that's why this temple is called Mul Mahunag. This temple is 32 Km from the Karsog bus stand and 84 Km from Shimla. This temple is located on the top of the hill and from there we see a very beautiful and awesome view.  Every year in May and June there local people holding the fair. Traveling  from Karsog This temple is 32 km from Karsog and we start our journey at 1 Pm from Karsog with my friends on our personal vehicle. The road of Mahunag from Karsog to Churag is very good and open but after the road is very narrow. But the road is safe to drive if you drive at normal speed. We reach this place in one and a half hours.  This temple is very beautiful and big from the outside and you can see many mountains from this temple and also see apple gardens and many trees of Hima

Bijli Mahadev Temple Kullu

  Bijli Mahadev Temple Bijli Mahadev is one of the sacred temples of Himachal Pradesh. It is located at an altitude of about 2,460m from Kullu valley. Across the Beas River, Bijli Mahadev Temple is one of the ancient and sacred temples in India. This temple dedicated to lord shiva. It is said that the Bijli Mahadev Temple houses a Shiva Linga which was broken into pieces by skying lightning, then after the priest of the temple joint back together these pieces by using butter. A scenic view of Kullu and Paravati valleys can be seen from the temple. Over around the area of the temple, there are no single trees,  it is believed that this place is the body of a big snake and this snake was killed by Lord Shiva because this snake was a very big devil this devil took a form of a snake and disturbing there local people then after lord shiva killed this devil.
