The Mamleshwar Mahadev temple

Mamleshwar Mahadev Temple

The Mamleshwar Mahadev temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Constructed by the Pandavas during their 12-year exile, this temple boasts a history of over 5,000 years. It is situated in Mamail, a small town in Karsog, just 2 kilometers from the Karsog bus stand.

This temple houses numerous Shivlings, all crafted by the Pandavas. Additionally, there is a large drum, measuring between four to five feet, which is believed to belong to Bhim.

There is a large, ancient 200-gram wheat grain that resembles a black stone. Each year, thousands of visitors come to this historical temple to admire its significant artifacts.

In Karsog, there is a hotel operated by the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation called The Mamleshwar, which can be reserved through the website https://himachaltourism.nic.in/  .
