Una is borderline of Himachal its shares his border with the Hoshiarpur and Rupnagar district of Punjab and Kangra, Hamirpur and Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh. On the 1st September 1972 the Himachal Pradesh Govt. was convert the Kangra district into three districts namely Una, Hamirpur and Kangra. The famous places of Una are ‘Chintpurni’ Goddess temple, Dera Baba Barbhag Singh, Dera Baba Rudru, Joggi Panga, Dharamshala Mahanta, Dhunsar Mahadev Temple Talmehra, Shivbari Temple Gagret and Mini Secretariat. Population of Una is 521,057 And the Literacy rate of una is 86.53%. There are 5 tehsils and 7 sub tehsils namely Una, Amb,Bangana, Ghanari, Haroli and sub-tehsils Kaloh, Mehatpur Basdehra, Bihrukalan, Jol, Dulehar, Ispur, Bharwain. Una is a very hot place in Himachal highest temperature in una is 48 degree Celsius in summer and winter is also very cold. The most famous place in una is Mata chintpurni temple this temple situated 53km from main Una and 108 km from Chandigarh and 339km from Delhi.

Chintpurni is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas located on the Solah Singh Mountain Range. For calm down of Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu cut the burning body of Maa Sati into 51 pieces and these pieces were spread over various places in the Indian land, And this place one of 51 Shakti peethas. It is believed that Sati's head fell at this place so that's why this Shakti peetha is most important in 51 Shakti Peethas. Some of the famous fairs celebrated at this temple are the Navratri fair in july, October and March-April. The temple is located 3 km away from Bharwain and 1.5 km from the Chintpurni Bus Stand.

Pong dam is also known as Maharana Pratap Sagar and pong Reservoir and beas dam built in 1975 is an earth-fill embankment dam on the Beas River in the state of Himachal Pradesh. The dam is at a height of 450 m and is spread across 45,000 hectares of land. This area is also home to wildlife sanctuary which contains various birds and animals. Some of the important animals and birds that can be spotted at this wildlife sanctuary are sambar, barking deer, peacock, parrots, leopards, and wild boars.
Gurdwara of Dera Baba Bharbhag Singh is very famous gurudwara in Una gurudwara was established by Saint Baba Bharbhag Singh, who dedicated the Gurdwara to the son of Baba Ramsingh. Thousands of Sikhs throng this place every year to take the blessings of Baba Bharbhag Singh- a saint who made this Gurudwara which was earlier known as Dera. Every year Hola Mohalla Fair is organized between the months of February and March for honoring Bharbhag Singh Ji. It is located 40 km away from Una.
