Chamba
Chamba is a very beautiful hill station in Himachal  Pradesh Dalhousie, Khajjhiar and Churah Valley are popular hill stations for northern Indian people. Chamba located on the coast of river Ravi at an distance of 996 meters. Chamba was established by king Sahil Varman in 10th Century. Chamba is known for its scenic attractions, gleaming streams, lakes, grasslands, and lush deodar forests It touches the fringe of the Shivaliks. It is situated 273 km from Mandi, 332 km from Chandigarh and 583 km from Delhi. Chamba has 7 tehsils  There are 5 tehsils and 7 sub tehsils  namely Una, Amb, Bangana, Ghanari, Haroli and sub-tehsils Kaloh chamba, Chowari, Churah, Dalhousie, Bharmour, Pangi, Salooni. Population of Chamba is 519,080 and  Literacy rate of Chamba is 73.19%. There are various temples like Akhand Chandi, Bansi Gopal Temple, Champavati Temple, Chamunda Devi Temple, Hari Rai Temple, Laxmi Narayan temple. Chamba mostly famous for Minjar Fair this fair held in the month of August. The Minjar festival is a kind of an honor ceremony to the god of rain and a prayer for a good harvest the fair is a credit to Raja Sahil Verman, who ruled the state in the 10th century A.D.

Famous places in Chamba
  Lakshmi Narayan Temple 

Lakshmi Narayan temple is very oldest and largest temple in Chamba this temple built by Raja Sahil Verma in around the 11th century. Lakshmi Narayan temple has six total temples all dedicated to either Lord Shiva or Lord Vishnu the main idol of Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiv is made up of unusual marble. It is very easy to reach temple because it is situated at a walking distance from the chaugan ground 550 mtr from the main Chamba.

Manimahesh lake

Manimahesh lake is a high altitude lake surface area of the lake is 4,190m(13,750 ft). Manimahesh lake is also known as Dal lake. It is situated close to the Manimahesh Kailash peak Mansarovar Lake is the next religious place of this lake and Mansarover lake is located in Tibet. There is a marble image dedicated to the Lord in the brink that is also called chaumukha. Manimahesh yatra held every year during the, corresponding to the Gregorian month of August or September and this yatra is supported by the Government of Himachal Pradesh. The glacial Manimahesh lake has its sources in the melted snow water from nearby peaks and the ice begins to melt by the end of June, then it breaks into diverse small streams.

Himachal Emporium, Rang mahal
   
Kind Umed Singh made this place in 18th century  but later Raj Sri Singh- the king of same dynasty repaired the Rang Mahal in 1860. If you are handcraft lover then must be go there because in rang mahal all things created by hands Over the years, the Rang Mahal has become a government property now its become an emporium which is popular as a famous shopping destination for beautiful hand-made goods this is just like a small shopping mall.the  visiting time of rang mahal 10 AM to 1 PM and 2 PM to 5 PM and Sunday is closed for visitors.

Chamera Lake


Chamera lake is a mystic lake situated in Dalhousie it makes a perfect getaway with friends and family to spend a day or have a picnic. There is also a  dam that's name is Chamera dam the lake and the dam is a companion to each other and add to the view. The dam received continual supply from river Ravi. The lake also facilitates boating which is a very popular activity in the region.


Vajreshwari Temple
  Vajreshari goddess also known as goddess of lightning, Goddess Vajreshwari is believed to be an appearance of Goddess Parvati. It is also known as Bajreshwari temple. This temple made in the  traditional Shikhara style of architecture. The temple  is an immaculate fusion of spectacular carvings, intricate woodwork and delicate stonework.  This temple is located at the end of Jansali Bazaar in Chamba. Every year there organized a fair  in the  honour of Goddess Vajreshwari, held on Amavasya in the month of March.

Chamunda Devi Temple     
  
Chamunda Devi Temple is located in a top of spur of Shah Madar range mountain and adverse to the Chamba town.This temple is 700 years old  built by Raja  Umed singh in 1762. Situated on the banks of river Baner, the temple is dedicated to Goddess Kali. For access this temple you take a 400 steps or take a 3km long concrete road from Chamba. Back side of temple  has a cave-like structure which is believed to be the symbol of Lord Shiva and a stone Phallaceae is kept to mark the dominion.

Bhuri Singh Museum 

Bhuri Singh Museum was established on 14 September 1908 in the honor of Raja Buri Singh. Bhuri Singh Museum is located in close proximity to Chaugan town of Chamba. There are the popular Basholi and Kangra style paintings showing scenes from the Ramayana and the Bhagavata Purana. There are so many old things it includes rich collections of items like carved doors from the old palaces, copper plate grants, frescoes, miniature paintings, and many other items of the historical period. Bhuri Singh museum opens only from 10 AM to 5 PM. 

Khajjiar
Khajjiar is the most beautiful place in Chamba in 1992, Mr. Willy T. Blazer called this place mini SwitzerlandAnd show this place on the tourism map. Khajjiar is located 22Km from Chamba and 24 km from Dalhousie. Khajjiar was famous for its green lush beauty and its some tourist point. Kalatop Khajjiar Sanctuary this place is famous for its forest animal and and trekking. In which you see many varieties of animals and birds. Khajji Nag temple is temple is very old and historical, Khajj nag temple belongs to 12th century AD. this temple also known as Golden devi temple because the dome of this temple is golden. Khajjiar Lake is the most beautiful and attractive place in Khajjiar this lake is very small in size but the surrounded area of this lake fully with grass so it's also called grassland area of this grassland is very big and on this grassland there are no tree.  On the time of winter this place is fully with snow and that's view is most lookable. Every year there come so many tourists to see the mini Switzerland.

Dalhousie

Himachal Pradesh is the most popular hill station in the World and there are so many  tourists places Dalhousie is one of them. Dalhousie mountain is very near to Dhauladhar mountain range. Dalhousie is located 53km from Chamba and 24 Km from Khajjiar. There are so many famous places in Dalhousie is St. John's Church,  Garam Sadak, St. Francis' Church but the most  famous place is satdhara Falls. Satdhara falls means seven springs, and the water of this falls is decreased skin diseases because water of this falls is very clean and pure. Surrounded area of this falls is full of Green pine trees.

Mul Mahunag Temple Karsog

  Mahunag Temple   Mahunag Temple is a very Famous and Historical temple in Karsog this temple dedicated to the god Shiva. In Himachal Pradesh so many temples of Mahunag but this temple is the main temple Mahunag that's why this temple is called Mul Mahunag. This temple is 32 Km from the Karsog bus stand and 84 Km from Shimla. This temple is located on the top of the hill and from there we see a very beautiful and awesome view.  Every year in May and June there local people holding the fair. Traveling  from Karsog This temple is 32 km from Karsog and we start our journey at 1 Pm from Karsog with my friends on our personal vehicle. The road of Mahunag from Karsog to Churag is very good and open but after the road is very narrow. But the road is safe to drive if you drive at normal speed. We reach this place in one and a half hours.  This temple is very beautiful and big from the outside and you can see many mountains from this temple and also see apple gardens and many trees of Hima

Bijli Mahadev Temple Kullu

  Bijli Mahadev Temple Bijli Mahadev is one of the sacred temples of Himachal Pradesh. It is located at an altitude of about 2,460m from Kullu valley. Across the Beas River, Bijli Mahadev Temple is one of the ancient and sacred temples in India. This temple dedicated to lord shiva. It is said that the Bijli Mahadev Temple houses a Shiva Linga which was broken into pieces by skying lightning, then after the priest of the temple joint back together these pieces by using butter. A scenic view of Kullu and Paravati valleys can be seen from the temple. Over around the area of the temple, there are no single trees,  it is believed that this place is the body of a big snake and this snake was killed by Lord Shiva because this snake was a very big devil this devil took a form of a snake and disturbing there local people then after lord shiva killed this devil.
