Kamaksha Devi temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga this temple is located in Kao this is a small town of karsog tehsil. This temple is situated on the top of one hill and this temple fully made of wooden. It is believed that the devil Manhishasur and Goddess Durga war on this place.

Manhishasur was in the form of a buffalo and hence every year on the time of Navratri evening numerous buffaloes sacrifice at this temple but now in the Indian Constitution sacrifice of animals is not allowed in India. Kamaksha Devi temple was full of different kinds of idols.
